  • Harmony Hill Animal Hospital: Get To Know Us

    Harmony Hill Animal Hospital is a local, family-owned, full-service veterinary clinic servicing small animals such as dogs and cats. Here, your pet can receive anything from an exam and vaccinations to specialized surgeries. We pride ourselves on outstanding service and recommending the right care for your pet. If you give us the opportunity to care for your pet, we are confident that you will have a pawsitive experience and end up calling yourself a long-term client of Harmony Hill Animal Hospital.  Harmony Hill Animal Hospital was founded in 2022 by Dr. Leslie Parsons and Aaron Barnes. Dr. Parsons and her husband reside in the Kearney area and bought their first home in the area in 2015.

    Dr. Leslie Parsons

    Dr. Parsons is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science prior to entering into the Veterinary Medicine program. She graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 2015. Upon completion of veterinary school, Dr. Parsons accepted a position as an associate veterinarian in the Kearney area. Dr. Parsons has provided services at mixed animal and small animal clinics in Kearney, Liberty, and Tiffany Springs, Missouri, and for a short time in South Jordan, Utah. She has experienced both privately-owned and corporate-owned clinics which has helped her understand some of the issues that clients face when seeking medically appropriate and consistent care for their pets.

    Aaron Barnes

    Aaron is an Oklahoma native and a 2000 and 2010 graduate of Oklahoma State University. He has worked in serval areas of business including banking, finance, human resources, and management. He also has experience in sports medicine, occupational safety, and transportation safety. Aaron moved to Kansas City for employment in 2013 and has remained in the Kearney area with Dr. Parsons since 2015. As a co-owner of the animal hospital, Aaron manages the day-to-day business operations and manages the practice.

    Jaileen

    Jaileen grew up in the Liberty area and has always had a passion for animals. She currently owns a small army of animals; a Dalmatian named Sterling and three cats named Davy Jones, William Turner, and Calypso. Jaileen has been in Veterinary Medicine for three years. She is currently in school to pursue her degree in Veterinary Technology and become a Registered Veterinary Technician. In her free time, she likes to garden and play video games.

    Tara

    Tara is a very experienced technician with over 8 years of experience in the Northland. She has several pets including dogs and cats and has a tremendously calming presence with our patients. A fun fact about Tara - She is so quick and efficient with blood draws that we call her "The Vampire". Tara enjoys reading, gaming, and loves dragons.

    Shannon

    Shannon grew up on her family's farm where they raise horses, cattle, and chickens in Central Missouri. She is currently attending Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine where she is pursuing a degree in Veterinary Nursing. Shannon hopes to become a Registered Veterinary Technician and eventually work in Genetics and Reproduction for Cattle and Equine as well as specialize in Nutrition and Production Animal Internal Medicine. In her free time, she travels to rodeos with the Ozark Rodeo Association, where she is the Official Photographer and Pageant Director.

    Daphine, RVT

    Daphine originates from Snellville, GA and has been living in MO now for about 5 years. She has been working in veterinary medicine for approximately 10 years, including attending MCC-Maple Woods to obtain her degree in Veterinary Technology & is now a Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT!!!


    When she is not helping clients or loving on her patients, she is caring for her own 5 fur babies: Milo, Duke, Rickie, Baxter & Goose! Daphine spends her free time playing co-ed softball, indoor volleyball or volunteering.


    We are so lucky to have Daphine as part of our amazing team!
